Osaka
€400.00

Title: Osaka
Year: 2025
Material: Epoxy resin, pigments, wooden frame, MDF, aluminium
Dimensions: 33 × 33 × 3.5 cm
Series: Japan Prefecture Series

Description:
Osaka reinterprets the prefectural emblem of the eponymous Japanese metropolis through a bold, color-intensive composition. The emblem’s characteristic form appears in shimmering blue, embedded within a textured, orange-metallic surface, creating a compelling contrast between movement and stability.

The work thrives on the interplay between surface and depth: depending on the light, pigments and resin shift in appearance, producing a dynamic spectrum of color. This iridescence mirrors the energy and cultural diversity of Osaka—a city defined by creativity, speed, and continual transformation.

Like all works of the series, Osaka merges meticulous craftsmanship with conceptual clarity. Minimalist design meets tactile materiality, inviting viewers to engage with the dialogue between form, color, and symbolism.

Kanagawa
€330.00

Title: Kanagawa
Year: 2025
Material: Epoxy resin, pigments, wooden frame, MDF, aluminum
Dimensions: 33 × 33 × 3.5 cm
Series: Japan Prefecture Series

Description:
Kanagawa is part of the ongoing Japan Prefecture Series, in which the official emblems of Japan’s prefectures are reinterpreted through a contemporary, material-driven visual language. The work features the emblem of Kanagawa Prefecture in a clear, luminous red against a white background—a composition distinguished by its graphic precision and reduction.

At the forefront is the relationship between form and space: the interlocking lines of the symbol create a rhythmic unity of repetition and reflection. The translucent layer of epoxy resin introduces an exceptional sense of depth, transforming the static emblem into a floating, almost radiant presence.

The intense red appears both traditional and contemporary—it references Japanese aesthetics, energy, and cultural identity, while the clean geometric structure conveys modernity and balance. Kanagawa merges technical precision with conceptual stillness, demonstrating how graphic symbolism, in dialogue with materiality, can unfold into a new dimension of spatiality.

Aichi
€340.00

Title: Aichi
Year: 2025
Material: Epoxy resin, wooden frame, pigments, MDF, aluminium
Dimensions: 33 × 33 × 3.5 cm
Series: Japan Prefecture Series

Description:
Aichi is part of an ongoing series in which Japanese prefectural emblems are reinterpreted as visual metaphors of cultural identity. The work combines meticulous craftsmanship with an experimental material aesthetic: fine pigment structures and the depth of the epoxy resin create a shifting interplay between surface and space.

The minimalist color palette and clean lines contrast with the complexity of the casting structure, inviting reflection on form, symbolism, and cultural perception.
